Virtual Visits Made Easy
Any visit that doesn't require a physical examination can be a virtual visit. Connect with your provider from the comfort of home using your smartphone, tablet, or computer with internet access. If you're using a desktop computer, you'll also need an external camera and microphone. After scheduling your telehealth appointment, you'll receive an email titled "Telehealth Meeting Invitation" At your appointment time, simply click the link within the email to join your visit—no downloads, no codes, no waiting, and no hassle.
Cancellation Policy
We are committed to providing every patient with attentive, unrushed care. To help us stay on schedule and respect the time of all patients, we kindly ask that you arrive promptly for your appointment. Patients arriving more than 15 minutes after their scheduled appointment time may be asked to reschedule their visit.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we respectfully request at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible. This allows us to offer that appointment time to another patient in need of care. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee of $40. These fees may also apply in cases of repeated short-notice cancellations.
We appreciate your understanding and partnership in helping us provide exceptional care to every patient we serve.

Financial Policy
Insurance Billing
Insurance Participation: As an independent office that is affiliated with but not part of the larger hospital systems such as Corewell Health, Trinity and University of Michigan West, we are able to participate with many plans at Tier 1 coverage. However, it is vital that you verify this with your insurance carrier by checking the insurance website or calling the customer service number on the back of your insurance card.
We will bill your insurance on your behalf and oversee the process to ensure you receive your maximum allowable benefits. Your insurance communicates your copays, coinsurance and deductibles with us based on the type of visit scheduled and payment is collected from you at the time of service. In the event the visit changes or services rendered differ from the expected visit type, such as an in-office procedure is added, or a new problem is addressed during a preventative wellness visit, you may receive an additional bill or a refund from us.
Know Your Policy: Insurance billing can be complex involving copays, deductibles, tiers of coverage, HSA high deductible, HMO, and POS plans. It is important that you know what your specific policy covers regarding screening/prevention/wellness visits; sick/injury/follow-up visits; vaccines, labs and in-office procedures.
Payment and Payment Plans
Payment is due at the time of service unless payment arrangements have been approved. Unexpected balances due to high deductible or uncovered services may also be eligible for a payment plan. We accept cash, checks, money orders, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, ApplePay, and Google Pay. Returned checks are subject to additional collection fees.
Billing Questions
If you have any questions about your bill or if you experience undue financial hardship, please let our Billing Manager know so that she may assist you. Our Billing Manager can be reached each weekday from 8:30am until 4:30pm by calling 616-797-3201 or calling our office at 616-662-2011 and follow the prompts . If she is not available, you may leave information on her voicemail, and she will return your call. Failure to pay your balance timely or set up a payment plan may result in a discharge from the practice.
